HORRIBLE Idea
So...I..am..an..idiot. And to those of you shaking your head in agreement, I am sticking my tounge out at you right now. So we took in "Mister" the cat and we had him for a little over 24 hours and someone bought him. They had him posted for over 6 months in 2 different papers and not one call. We take him and within 24 hours he's gone. Now, I was right, I can foster animals because it was not hard on me at all to say goodbye even though he is such a sweet cat. Claire did not take it so well. She did not take it well at all as a matter of fact. There was over an hour of crying and screaming and calling me names before they came and got the blankety blank cat. So, live and learn I guess, we will not be fostering anymore animals ever. I do wish that we had the kind of money where we could have bought him though because he was so sweet and so mild tempered but so is the cat that we rescued from the animal shelter and she only cost $25. So I guess it was a horrible idea to say the least.

Our Foster Cat
So most people foster children but not us. I don't think I would be strong enough to do that. I get too attached to children so instead we are going to try fostering an animal. This is "Mister." He came from Claire's preschool teacher. He really belongs to her daughter but they have to keep him separated from the female. He is a pure-bred papered cat. They wanted to know if we wanted to buy him but they are asking 1200 dollars. I said no way but that we would take care of him until they found another home for him. He is the sweetest cat. He is ugly but I think he's great. He is a fat old man and so far he doesn't have a problem being around our other cat and dog.

YEAH MATT!
Yeah! Matt passed the driving test for his scooter today so he is officially a liscenced "motorcycle" driver! He passed the test on his third try and with no points against him! We are so proud of him! This is a huge thing for him!
Making Dinner
Last night we had Calzone's for dinner and the kids helped make them! It was so fun. Usually I don't let the kids help. I don't know why I don't, I think it's a patience issue but I am getting much better at that. So I let the kids kneed the dough, roll it out and make their own calzone's. They had a blast eating and filling their calzone's with cheese and ham. Today we took a very long walk to Claire's preschool to pick up her homework. Claire rode her new bike the whole way. She was really aprehensive on her birthday when she rode her bike but by now she is doing awesome! She is even starting to go fast. It has given me a wonderful opportunity to tell her how awesome she is and how proud I am of her. I told her on the way home that she was so great at riding her bike and she said "I know I am!" Ivan is dying for a bike of his own. He has asked Santa for a bike but what he doesn't know is that mom and dad already bought him one. We didn't want to leave that one to Santa!

Happy Birthday Claire Bear!
Claire turned 5 years old yesterday! Ivan woke us all up very early as usual and she opened her present. I had spent the evening before putting her bike together and getting the presentation just right. She was so funny because while she liked the bike, she loved the Posh Puppy we got her even more. She went to school and when she came home she was running a fever. She spent much of the afternoon sick on the couch but perked up just in time to go with the family to Chuck-E-Cheese, a choice inspired by Maddyson Feith. Motrin does wonders because from the pictures you would never know that she was sick. On the way home from the restaurant she began to complain that she was cold again and I knew that her fever was back. She came home and fell asleep promptly on the couch. She had a good day though. Now all three kids are sick. I was hoping that by living in a very warm climate this winter, we would avoid the colds and strep throat but I think it has found us.

I Want More Twilight!
So I started reading the Twilight series again and it has made me want to go see the movie again so badly! Seeing the movie has just made the books that much better for me. For Christmas I got (a little early) the whole box set of the books in hardback and I am almost through with the first one. Things are quiet now that Mark and Mandy and the girls are gone. We have to spend a lot of time close to home because Ivan is potty training and I swear it's going to take forever. He has the pee part down pat. He hasn't peed his pants in a week but I swear he is pooping in his pants just to piss me off! My mom once said "you don't see many adults that aren't potty trained so don't worry." Well, I have come to the conclusion that the reason you don't see them is because their parents killed them for pooping in their pants so much! Luckily I can just take him outside and spray him down because the water coming out of the hose is bathtub warm. I just need more patience. I wish that it was something that came naturally to me but it just isn't. So to break up the frustrations of the day I read my Twilight books. All I can say is that I want to see the movie again and I can't wait for the next movie! I want more Twilight!!!!
